Abstract Instructions

Abstracts must be 200 words or less. Any abstract exceeding this length will not be included in the abstract book. You must submit your abstract using the attached power point template (see below). The abstract will include your name, university, program, your current position (High School Intern, Undergraduate Intern, Graduate Intern, Graduate Fellow, or Faculty Fellow), mentor's name, code and branch. Please check with your mentor to be sure that you list the correct code and branch. The title for the abstract will be followed by a detailed description of the work performed. Your mentor or designee must review and approve the abstract before submission. All abstracts must be submitted by mentor as a PowerPoint to your Program Coordinator by the date above.

Guidelines

The abstract is a brief description outlining your project and the nature of your work performed. The abstract should be one paragraph long with a 200 word limit. It should indicate subject dealt with and state the objectives of the investigation. Newly observed facts and conclusion of the experiment or argument discussed in the paper must be stated in summary form; readers should not have to read the paper to understand the abstract. The abstract template provided has the correct formatting, font, and spacing. Below is a downloadable copy of the 2016 Abstract template . All abstract submissions must follow the template provided.
