Downtown Mountain View

Downtown Mountain View is about 2 miles from the front gate, straight down Moffett Field Boulevard. Once you cross the railroad tracks, Moffett Field becomes Castro Street. Downtown Mountain View starts at that point. There are a myriad of restaurants and coffee shops in the downtown area. Below are some things to do in downtown Mountain View.

You can easily tour Stanford University with or without a car. Take the CalTrain to the California Street stop in Palo Alto. From there take the free Marguerite Shuttle to Stanford. (The website has information on the shuttle). While at Stanford, don’t miss the Cantor Arts Center garden where 20 of Auguste Rodin Bronze works are exhibited. Likewise, visit the Papua New Guinea Sculpture Garden created on-site at Stanford by artists from Papua New Guinea.
