Mission Statement
Ames mission is carried out through the hard work and dedication of its Center employees. In order to facilitate a motivated and effective workforce, Ames Research Center provides Equal Opportunity (EO) for all employees and applicants for employment regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, genetic information, gender identity and retaliation.
The ODEO promotes and advocates equal opportunity (EO) for underrepresented groups at Ames Research Center and encourages management and employees to embrace diversity concepts and philosophy within the workforce, and to increase access to Ames-related research and careers for all Americans. The ODEO advises Center management and employees in all aspects of the discrimination complaints processes on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, genetic information, gender identity, sex, age, mental or physical disability, or reprisal for the participation in previous Title VII activity of the Civil Rights Act, 1964. ODEO accomplishes this through outreach, education and training, promoting career development, complaint resolution, and advocacy of Center support to Minority Institutions. ODEO's purpose is to develop and maintain a diverse workforce and promote an "inclusive" and "value based" environment for employees at Ames Research Center. Ames ODEO offers EO counseling, alternative dispute resolution services, and other relevant referrals to applicants employees, and certain contractors alleging discrimination.

More information about the services offered through the Office of Diversity & Equal Opportunity can be found at: http://eo.arc.nasa.gov.
